KHEL RATNA AWARD 2018

President Ram Nath Kovind conferred the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award 2018 upon Indian cricket skipper Virat Kohli on September 25 for his 23 centuries and 19 half centuries in Test Cricket.  

President Ram Nath Kovind conferred the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award 2018 upon Indian woman weightlifter Saikhom Mirabai Chanu on September 25. She has won Gold medals in CWG 2018 and IWF World Championship 2017.

ARJUNA AWARD 2018

Athlete Neeraj Chopra received the Arjuna Award 2018 from President Kovind on September 25. Neeraj won Gold medals in the Javelin throw at the Arjuna Award 2018, CWG 2018 and Asian Athletic Championship 2017. 

Hima Das was honoured with the Arjuna Award by President Kovind on September 25. She won a Gold and Silver in the Women’s 4x400m relay in the Asian Games 2018 and another Silver in the Mixed 4x400m relay in the Asian Games 2018. 

Table Tennis player G. Sathiyan was honoured with the Arjuna Award 2018. He won Gold as a part of Men's Team in CWG 2018, Silver in Men's Doubles in CWG 2018, Bronze in Mixed Doubles in CWG 2018 and Bronze in Asian Games 2018 as part of Men's Team.

Table Tennis player Manika Batra was honoured with the Arjuna Award 2018. She won Gold in CWG 2018, Bronze in Mixed Doubles in CWG 2018, Silver in Women's Doubles in CWG 2018 and Gold as a part of Women's Team in CWG 2018.

Badminton player Nelakurthi Sikki Reddy was honoured with the Arjuna Award by President Kovind on September 25. She won Gold in the Mixed team event in CWG 2018 and Bronze in Women's Doubles in CWG 2018. 

Athlete Naib Subedar Jinson Johnson was honoured with the Arjuna Award by President Kovind. He won a Gold in 1500m and a Silver medal in 800m at the Asian Games 2018. 

Boxer Subedar Satish Kumar was honoured with the Arjuna Award by President Kovind. He won Silver in CWG 2018, Bronze in Asian Boxing Championship 2015 and another Bronze in Asian Games 2014.  

Golfer Shubhankar Sharma was honoured with the Arjuna Award by President Kovind on September 25 at the Rashtrapati Bhawan. He won the Maybank Malaysian Championship 2018 and Joburg Open 2017.

Hockey player Manpreet Singh received the Arjuna Award 2018 from President Kovind. He won Bronze in the Asian Games 2018, Gold in Asia Cup 2017, Silver in CWG 2014 and Gold in Asian Games 2014 as a part of the Men's team.  

Hockey player Savita received the Arjuna Award 2018 from President Kovind. She won Silver in Asian Games 2018 and Bronze in Asian Games 2014 as a part of the Women's team. 

Colonel Ravi Rathore received the Arjuna Award 2018 from President Kovind on September 25. His achievements include a Team Gold in 11th World Cup Polo Championship (Asia & Africa Zone) in 2017 and International Polo Match 2014. 

Shooter Ankur Mittal received the Arjuna Award 2018 from President Kovind. He won Bronze in Commonwealth Games 2018, Gold in Commonwealth Shooting Championship 2017 and Silver in ISSF World Championship 2017.  

Shooter Rahi Sarnobat received the Arjuna Award 2018 from President Kovind. She won a Gold in the Asian Games 2018, Bronze in the Asian Games 2014 and Gold in the Commonwealth Games 2014.

Shooter Shreyasi Singh was honoured with the Arjuna Award 2018. She won a Bronze in CWG 2018, Silver in Commonwealth Shooting Championship 2017, Gold in Asian shotgun Championship 2016 and Silver in CWG 2014. 

Wrestler Sumit was honoured with the Arjuna Award 2018. He won Gold in Commonwealth Games 2018, Silver in the Senior Asian championship 2017 and Silver in the Commonwealth championship 2017.  

Wushu player Pooja Kadian received the Arjuna Award 2018. She won Gold in World Wushu Championship 2017, Bronze in Wushu Sanda World Cup 2016, Bronze in Asian Wushu championship 2016 and Silver in World Wushu Championship 2015. 

Para-athlete Ankur Dhama received the Arjuna Award 2018. He won Bronze for 5000m, bronze for 1500m and silver for 800m in the Asian Para Games 2014.

Para-Badminton player Manoj Sarkar was honoured with the Arjuna Award. He won Silver in BWF Para-Badminton World Championship 2017 and a Gold and Bronze in BWF Para-Badminton World Championship 2016.

Rohan Bopanna was honoured with the Arjuna Award. He won Gold in Asian Games Men's Double 2018.

Smriti Shriniwas Mandhana was honoured with the Arjuna Award. Mandhana made her Test debut in August 2014 against England. Mandhana was the only Indian player to be named in the ICC Women's Team of the Year 2016. Mandhana was part of the Indian team to reach the final of the 2017 Women's Cricket World Cup. In March 2018, she scored the fastest fifty for India in a Women's Twenty20 International (WT20I) fixture, taking 30 balls to reach a half-century against Australia women in the 2017–18 India women's Tri-Nation Series. The following month, she was named the player of the series, for the three WODI matches played against England women.
